Welcome to Platera! This document outlines the terms for using our virtual plating canvas application. By accessing or using Platera, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Platera Service

Platera provides a digital workspace that simulates a kitchen workbench, allowing you to:

• Drag, rotate, and scale images of ingredients on customizable plate templates (circle, square, oval, rectangle).
• Utilize full layer control to manage the depth and composition of your designs.
• Build a personal pantry by capturing ingredient photos through your device's camera or importing them from your gallery.
• Organize your ingredients by custom categories.
• Save your designed layouts as named schemes for future reference.
• Revisit saved layouts in full preview mode or compare two layouts side-by-side.

The service aims to deliver a tactile, intuitive experience with animations and interactions that feel authentic to a culinary environment.

2. Your Content and Data

You retain all rights to the photographs and images you upload or capture to create your personal pantry ("Your Content").

• Your Content is stored locally on your device to facilitate your creative process. You are solely responsible for the images you add to your pantry.
• We do not claim ownership over Your Content. The schemes you create are for your personal inspiration and use.
• It is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary rights to use any images you upload, particularly if they are not your own original photographs.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Platera only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the app to create or share content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the application.
• Use automated systems or scripts to interact with the app in ways that could disrupt the service for others.
• Upload content containing viruses or malicious code.

4. Service Availability and Changes

Platera is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Platera app at any time. These Terms may also be updated periodically. The effective date at the top of this page will indicate the most recent version.

5. Intellectual Property

The Platera application, including its unique design, user interface, the "warm amber-and-cream" palette, Playfair Display typography, underlying software, and all visual and interactive elements, is the property of Platera and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended personal, non-commercial purposes.
